Welcome to the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences
Home to a dynamic faculty and several innovative centers for research, service, and training, the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences focuses on the well-being and healthy development of individuals and families over the lifespan, including dynamic relations within the family as well as the family's interactions with broader social institutions.
Our Department is located in the Family Studies Building at the Storrs campus. Some of our Centers and Services (Center for Applied Research in Human Development, and Child Development Labs) are located in the Human Development Building.
Visitor parking near the Department is available at the South Parking Garage, across from Gampel Pavilion on Stadium Road. Visitors can also utilize the North Parking Garage which is located off North Eagleville Rd. and North Hillside Rd. More information on parking and hourly rates available at UConn Parking Services.
