Professor and Department Head Eva Lefkowitz and former students will be honored in Toronto this week for their article, which was selected by the Sexuality Topic Network of the Society for the Study of Emerging Adulthood as the winner of the 2018 Best Research Article award for research advancing scholarship on sex and sexuality among emerging adults. Alumna Allyson Zoppa assistant coach of the UConn rowing program
Allyson Zoppa, a 2008 and 2012 UConn graduate, is in her 11th season as assistant coach of the University of Connecticut rowing program in 2018-2019. A native of East Hartford, CT, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with minors in English and Psychology and her master’s degree in Sport Management.

Ellen Pudney, HDFS doctoral student, won second place poster at the InCHIP Poster Competition for her poster, “A mixed methods analysis examining differential patterns of long-term distress from weight stigma.” HDFS Professor Rebecca Puhl was a co-author.
